The reason why people prefer Apple
products is because of their stunning
look, extraordinary features, and better
hardware. On April 1, 1976, Apple was
founded by Steve Jobs, Steve Wozniak,
and Ronald Wayne. Now everyone in
the world knows the Apple brand
iPhones, iPads, iPods, iTunes, and more
of these products have been part of our
lives.
Since iMac was released in 1998 the “i”
prefix was marked in most of the Apple
products. Have you ever imagined what
does “i” really means? Why “i” was
always present before the word Phone
in an iPhone? It’s possibly one of the
most well-known devices in the world
but nobody is completely sure what the
‘i’ in Apple’s handset name stands for.

The “i” at the beginning of almost every
Apple devices refers to the “Internet”.
Steve Jobs once told during the product
launch of iMac that “i” stands for the
internet. Back in 1998 which were the
early days of Internet and iMac was
specially designed to provide faster
internet access.
Steve Jobs said “iMac comes from the
marriage of the excitement of the
Internet with the simplicity of
Macintosh,” he said. “We are targeting
this for the no. 1 use that consumers
tell us they want a computer for, which
is to get on the Internet simply and
fast. And that is what this product is
targeted for”
