In Order To Succeed In Life You Should Have These Kind Of Friends

16 Dec

There are many ingredients in the
recipe for success but one which many
overlook is the power of their inner
circle.
A famous quote by Tony Robins goes,
“You are the average of the five people
you spend the most time with.”
Another proverb found in the Bible says
that as iron sharpens iron, so does a
friend sharpen a friend. This explains
that our closest friends have a big
impact on our growth.
If we are surrounded by people who
have no goal in life, no matter what our
goals in life are, we will find ourselves
being slowed down by these people.
On the other hand, if you are
surrounded by people who are go-
getters, hardworking and encouraging, it
doesn’t matter if you’re anything like
them, soon enough, their zeal will rub
off on you and inspire you to be better.
Being surrounded by good people also
means cutting off people who do
nothing to make you better. This, of
course, does not mean surrounding
yourself with people who only boost
your ego, but people who help you grow
and are not afraid to correct you when
you are wrong.
Check your inner circle today, do they
consist of people who:
•Inspire you to be a better person
•Believe in you even when you doubt
yourself
•Support you whole-heartedly but let
you know when you are wrong
•Add value to your life
•Are genuinely happy for you and
appreciate your presence in their lives
•Believe you have what it takes to
achieve your life’s goals?
Limit the time you spend with people
who bring you down, no matter how
“way back” you go. If your friends only
tear you down, seeming to rejoice at
your failures, it would be harmful to
keep being friends with them.
On the other hand, it would be
completely selfish to expect these
qualities from your friends if you do not
possess any of the qualities listed
above.
A lot of the time, we attract who we
are. Be the change you want to see in
your friends, and this will not only help
you be a better friend but also a better
person.
